Welcome Back

Welcome back from the All-star Break!

I spent last weekend backtesting a new over/under "filter" for the algorithms. This filter brings the higher probability O/U bets to the surface and it's working well so far. If the success of the backtesting continues, look for a new totals bet next week in addition to the usual spread bets.

A refresher course on how to read the predictions.

1. CHA at ORL -8.5
Winner: Orlando
Underdog: N/A

2. MIN at WAS -2.5
Winner: Minnesota
Spread: MIN +2.5 *****
Underdog: Minnesota

1. Charlotte at Orlando, Orlando is a 2.5 point favorite. The straight up winner will be Orlando. If the winner is SPLIT, the two algorithms disagreed on the winner, meaning there is no decisive pick. There's no spread bet for CHA at ORL.

2. Minnesota at Washington, Washington is a 2.5 point favorite. "MIN +2.5 *****" - bet on MIN to beat the spread. "Underdog: Minnesota" - the underdog, Minnesota, is picked to win the game straight up.
